GALWAY POET Pete Mullineaux will read at the next North Beach Poetry Nights in The Crane Bar, Sea Road, on Monday at 9pm.
Pete has read at Cúirt, Glastonbury, Greenham Common, and Trafalgar Square, alongside Salman Rushdie, Melvin Bragg, and The Pogues. His debut collection A Father’s Day has drawn comparisons with Brian Patten and John Cooper-Clarke.
Poets wishing to take part in the two-round Slam should bring along two three-minute poems, preferably memorised. The guest MC will be Miceal Kearney. Admission is €5/3.
