Have you got your free tickets for Saturday’s Galway United match?

Avenir All Island Cup winners Galway United will host top side DLR Waves in a Women’s National League game at Eamonn Deacy Park on Saturday evening — and you and your family and friends can be there to see it free of charge.

In association with Galway United, the Galway Advertiser is giving away 1,000 free tickets to the club’s next home fixture at 7.35pm on Sept 9, in which they will be hoping to continue their fine run of form.

Last weekend, they drew away to Bohemians and enter this home game with high hopes of a strong end to an already successful season. The game is live on TG4 but the club are keen to create a rocking home atmosphere to show the nation.

The club would love to have you along to cheer on United and help in the creation of new role models.

It has been an exciting season for Phil Trill’s side — in July, they won the first All-Island Avenir Cup beating Cliftonville 1-0 in the final in Sligo. This is Galway United’s first season in the Women’s National League and their performances have exceeded expectations. The club have brought the Avenir Cup around to schools and clubs in the city and county to highlight the historic victory in the first ever all-island competition held between clubs in the Women’s National League and the Irish League.

To avail of the offer of free tickets to the next home game v DLR Waves on Saturday, just snap the QR code with your smartphone and you will be brought to the club’s ticket page where you can request the number of tickets you would like.
