Strange Brew today reveals the almost complete line-up for 2023’s Fall Right Into Place festival, which is taking place at Claregalway Castle, just outside Galway city, from Saturday 16 September to Sunday, 17 September. Tickets are €36 + booking fee and are on sale now from fallrightintoplace.ie
Fall Right Into Place kicks off on Saturday, 16 September with headliners Pillow Queens bringing their gripping, cathartic indie rock to the stage. Pillow Queens released their second album Leave the Light On through Canadian label Royal Mountain Records in 2022, receiving praise from the likes of Pitchfork, The Guardian, and Clash. The Dublin four-piece have toured throughout the UK, Europe, and North America, including performances at SXSW in Austin and opening for Phoebe Bridgers in Glasgow. Saturday will also feature beloved alt-folk mainstay Junior Brother; Feather Beds, the solo project of London-based artist/producer Michael Orange; psych-folk artist Elaine Malone; Dublin indie supergroup Autre Monde; rising Cork band The Love Buzz; Limerick jangle pop group Dylan Flynn & The Dead Poets; Donegal-based producer Keith Mannion, a.k.a. Slow Place Like Home; Limerick alt-pop duo T.A. Narrative; Galway blues rock band The Pages; eclectic Galway quintet Bees & Sawdust; and Limerick singer, songwriter and electronic music producer Rory Hall—better known as Proper Micro NV.
Dublin post-punks The Murder Capital will take to the stage on Sunday, 17 September with their notoriously noisy, high-energy sound. Their sophomore album Gigi’s Recovery was released via Human Season this year to widespread acclaim from NME, The Guardian, and The Line of Best Fit. Summer 2022 saw The Murder Capital open for Pearl Jam in Hyde Park, as well as Foals and Bloc Party, and the band spent this summer on the festival circuit.The Murder Capital will be joined on Sunday by Choice Music Prize-nominated psych rockers THUMPER; celebrated producer Daithí; Dublin indie-pop guru Paddy Hanna; captivating multi-instrumentalist Tracy Bruen; Galway punk trio Puck; Galway four-piece rock band Telebox; Armagh singer-songwriter Conchúr White; genre-defying musician Rodney Owl; talented Dublin-based artist Sinéad White; buzzy Galway garage band Shark School; and Dublin rock five-piece Javill.
Presented by record label, music agency and all-round music wrangler Strange Brew, this will be the third year of Fall Right Into Place, a festival that The Irish Times called “a masterclass in smart Irish music curation”.
The Fall Right Into Place line-up is carefully curated to reflect the Strange Brew ethos, honed over 20 years promoting concerts and artists, and features friends, old and new. There will be a full craft bar from the good people at Galway Bay Brewery, a cocktail bar, wine and cheese bar, oyster stall and tasty food from the Dela food truck and Weirdough Pizza.
