Summer acting classes for children

Stagecoach Theatre Arts will hold it’s Galway Holiday Workshop at St Mary’s College from Monday July 20 to Friday 24.

The summer workshop timetable is 10am to 4pm, Monday to Thursday, and 10am to 6pm on Friday, with parents invited to see Looking For Elvis between 6pm and 7pm.

A Stagecoach summer camp runs along similar lines to a normal Stagecoach weekend school with a maximum of 40 students divided into three stages, similar in age, who train with experienced professional teachers, choreographers, and musicians and a non-teaching principal is always in place to ensure standards are maintained.

Places are limited. Classes are open to those aged between seven and 16. For more details, call 091 - 556274 or enrol online at www.stagecoach.ie/galway and click on the holiday workshop page.

Stagecoach will also hold an end of term charity event called ‘Parents Do Stagecoach!’ at St Mary’s on June 27 from 10am to 5.30pm. Parents will have to line up and attend classes with their children for three hours in singing, dancing, and acting, raising money for Interact, which allows children from disadvantaged backgrounds and special needs to attend free workshops.
