A Renmore priest has published his third book entitled By the word of their testimony. This is his second book to be published in New York by Lantern Books, and is a personal account of his journey from lapsed Catholic to priesthood.
In a stirringly honest account Fr Murchadh Ó Madagáin talks about his own struggles of faith, the disillusionment caused by scandals in the Church, and trying to cope with the demands of priesthood which twice caused burnout.
In 2005 Fr Ó Madagáin completed his doctorate in mystical theology in Rome and he is also the author of Centering Prayer and the Healing of the Unconscious, published by Lantern Books in 2007, and also Therese of Lisieux: Through love and suffering, published by St Pauls in London, 2003.
