In the wake of becoming the first Irish female to reach number one in the official Irish singles chart in 14 years, 26-year-old artist Jazzy is set to bring her club and dance anthems to Monroe’s Live on Saturday, July 22.
Already making history on the music scene, her debut solo single, ‘Giving Me’ hit the coveted top spot in May, surpassing Calvin Harris and Ellie Goulding, Loreen, Libianca and Lewis Capaldi.
This phenomenal success came hot on the heels of topping the Spotify Ireland Top 50, making her the first Irish female artist to do so, since the streaming platform launched here in 2012.
For Jazzy, the catchy and compelling house track represents letting go of the responsibility for the hurt experienced from a past relationship, and getting back out on the town.
The Irish-Jamaican singer from Crumlin, is already at the pinnacle, as her feel-good dance music continues to soar at home and abroad.
With driving beats and rhythms powered by her strong vocals and punctuated by hand claps, ‘Giving Me’ is a snapshot of what is to come from the talented Dubliner.
She is crafting a musical legacy of her own, following acclaimed collaborations with dance-duo Belters Only on their hit singles ‘Make Me Feel Good’ and ‘Don’t Stop Just Yet’.
Her club ready anthem signifies a new departure for her as a solo artist, as she continues to find inspiration from Eliza Rose, Hayley May, Clementine Douglas, Karen Harding, Poppy Baskcomb and Kate Wild, among others.
