Ireland’s top female amateur golfers tee off at Connemara Golf Club tomorrow in the AIG Irish Women’s Amateur Close Championship.
This is the first time Connemara Golf Club has hosted this event, having previously hosted the AIG Men’s Close in 2013.
The AIG Irish Women’s Amateur Close Championship will be contested by 72 of the country’s top women’s amateur players. Among those in the field is Aine Donegan who recently qualified to compete in the US Women’s Open Golf Championship and is a scholar at Louisiana State University, competing in the NCAA D1 Championship.
