Celebrated folk duo Niall Teague and Padraic Joyce will be joined by string ensemble, Treo, at a concert in An Taibhdhearc on Friday, May 19 as part of the 'What Will We Be' album tour.
The formidable Galway based duo released their newest album, 'What Will We Be' in March this year which features a collection of songs turning over new ground in folk, americana, country and acoustic music, and highlighting some of the best of past and present songwriting at its core. Taken from the new album single, 'Guitar Gold' is a beautiful country style ballad featuring lush strings and acoustic guitars and perfect harmonies.
'What Will We Be' is a perfect follow up to the duo's successful 2020 album, 'Taobh le Taobh' as well as their recent successes at the Pan Celtic and Oireachtas Song Contests, both of which Teague and Joyce to record their new album which represents many years of their artistic development. The reception of 'What Will We Be' has been very positive, with it being listed in the Irish Top 20 Download Charts.
Throughout the album each small scene, each line has been thoughtfully painted both lyrically and melodically, resulting in a rich and beautiful acoustic sound. Much of the albums collaborative work and development was supported by the Arts Council of Ireland, including work with musical arranger Eoin Corcoran and the string ensemble 'Treo'. ‘What Will We Be’ ss available on all digital platforms now.

Following their performance in An Taibhdhearc, Niall Teague and Padraig Joyce will be bringing their tour to Dodd's Bar, Boyle, Co Roscommon on October 5, Saint John's Theatre, Listowel, Co Kerry on October 27, Sea Church Ballycotton, Co Cork on October 28.
