DNG Martin O’Connor Land Sales conducted its monthly online property auction for lands on Thursday May 11. There were two plots of land on offer on the day with the agent achieving phenomenal results for its vendors.
Lot 1 of the day comprised a cottage and shed ruins on c10.72 acres of top quality land in Attirowerty, Letterfrack, Co Galway. The property attracted good pre-auction interest, and on the day this increased substantially. Following a total of 38 bids, the land, with an AMV of €150,000, sold for €267,000 to a farmer who was delighted to purchase this meticulously maintained holding of land as it will help expand their farming enterprise in the Connemara region.
The second property of the day comprised undivided shares of commonage land totalling to c25.50 acres in Attirowerty and Baunoge, Letterfrack, Co Galway, and again these lands attracted excellent interest over the weeks leading up to auction day with a total of 27 bids which led to this property, with an AMV of €18,000, eventually selling at €38,000 to another local farmer.
