A recent study has shown that only 60 per cent of people have booked their holidays for the coming summer.
"While there is still good availability out there, the prices are on the increase and we cannot stress the importance of not leaving it to the last minute this summer," says Maura Fahy, managing director of Fahy Travel Ltd.
"Ryanair dominates the market from both Shannon and Knock and they don’t offer last minute bargains or late availability, you need to book in good time to get the best price. There are charters from Shannon to Salou and Lanzarote with TUI and they are offering good value for July at the moment.
"The summer season has extended from May to the end of October and many resorts along the Mediterranean are reporting unusually high numbers very early in the season. Fahy Travel has seen record numbers booked for May and June but do agree with the national survey showing that many families have yet to book for this summer."
Fahy Travel has all its recommended properties listed on its website www.fahytravel.ie, or you can book an appointment with one of the company's sales consutulants to find the best value for your holiday this season.
