Pálás Cinema's Sweet Lineup this Spring and Summer

The home of independent gems and cult favourites, Pálás Cinema has a stellar lineup for spring and summer - something for every type of film lover, including Director Q&A’s and live streamed events.

On Monday, April 24, the cinema will host a Q&A with director Sinéad O’Shea, after a special screening of ‘Pray For Our Sinners’, a documentary aiming to confront Ireland’s recent history of brutality against women and children by telling the stories of everyday citizens resisting the status quo.

Later that same week, on Saturday April 29, Pálás Cinema will welcome director Ciaran Creagh and his narrative drama ‘Ann’, which had its premiere earlier this year at the Dublin International Film Festival. ‘Ann’, set in 1984, follows a day in the life of pregnant 15-year-old Ann Lovett, in an attempt to shine a light on a woman abandoned by society, by its prejudices and traditions.

Ireland’s storied history at the Eurovision will be celebrated with a livestreamed screening of the Eurovision Finale on Saturday May 13 – if you're in the mood for a song and dance, local drag queens Blondie and Annie Naggins will be in the bar for a party before kick-off.

Cult hit event ‘Solve-Along-A-Murder-She-Wrote’ comes to town on Tuesday June 20, with an interactive screening of a classic Murder, She Wrote episode. This unique event will feature games, prizes and audience participation as Jessica Fletcher (and you! ) try to solve a murder in real time.
