Galway-based Lorg Media won ‘Best Influencer Led Campaign’ at The Spider Awards for their marketing campaign Creidim Ionat with Foras na Gaeilge in partnership with RTÉ.

Dubbed “The Oscars of Ireland’s digital industry” — the Spiders are the longest running digital awards in Ireland.

Creidim Ionat (I Believe in You ) was a mentor/mentee led integrated media campaign that saw thousands of people taking their next step on their Irish language journey. Pick a partner and set a goal was the main call to action of this campaign. The online community from every corner of the world participated in the Creidim Ionat campaign, which resonated far and wide with an online reach of 4.3 million people in 84 countries leading to 83 million impressions and 1.3 million video views on online content to date.

Loretta Ní Ghabháin, founder of Lorg Media, said the Irish language is the heart of our creative agency.

“We saw how the global pandemic inspired a passionate wave of renewed interest in our language and the timing was just right for our Creidim Ionat marketing campaign, a concept that had been bubbling away for years!

“We are very fortunate that our client Foras na Gaeilge and our media partner RTÉ allowed our creativity to flow on this innovative and dynamic campaign.

“And this week we continue to help celebrate Ireland and its talents and our language as we created content on the ground for the Oscars in LA.”

This innovative campaign was anchored by three mentors – RTÉ podcast Beo ar Éigean hosts; Áine Ní Bhreisleáin, Sinéad Ní Uallacháin and Siún Ní Dhuinn – as they mentored and supported three well-known personalities on their Irish language journey; Michael Fry (Comedian ), Marty Morrissey (RTÉ Presenter and Commentator ) and Marissa Carter (Founder and CEO of Carter Beauty ) to achieve their own personal language goal within four weeks.

Lorg Media are just back this week from Los Angeles, US where they worked for the duration of Oscar week with Irish government agencies, and where they continued to document some of the unique stories of Ireland and and the Irish in the US.

The team also attended Social Media Marketing World, a marketing conference in San Diego, a conference they have attended for the third time to stay top of their game when it comes to marketing.
