THE FLAMENCO singer and dancer Magdalena Navarrete will host series of Flamenco dance, song, and culture in the Galway Dance Centre in June and July.
Magdalena will teach two flamenco dancing and singing workshops this Sunday. The children’s class is from 10am to 12 noon. The cost is €15. The adult class is from 12.30pm to 3pm. The cost is €20.
Magdalena will also teach a flamenco dance and song course for children from July 7 to 11 from 10am to 1pm. The cost is €105. She will give an adult workshop on July 11 from 1.30pm to 4pm. The cost is €15/€20.
The workshops aim to discover Flamenco culture. Participants will be taught basic steps and basic singing, Flamenco stories will be told, films shown, and there will be drawings for children. No previous experience is required.
Magdalena is a graduate from the Flamenco Seville (Spain ) school and vocals from the academy of music in Warsaw. She speaks Polish, Spanish, and English.
