Rage against the machine cover band to play Monroes live.

Celebrating over 30 years since the launch of the debut album by the iconic Rage Against The Machine, Galway-based tribute band Rage will re-ignite their incendiary blend of punk, metal and rap at Monroe’s Live on Friday, March 3 from 11pm. Their signature sound of fierce music and socially conscious lyrics will be brought to life with electrifying energy by this 5-piece of experienced local musicians.

With Donal Gibbons on vocals, Fiachra Cradock and Stephen Monaghan on guitar, Dave Donoghue on bass and Eimhin Cradock on drums, Rage is a collective of Galway’s finest, who together have over 25 years’ experience on the music scene in different guises. Now, they have united as Rage to perform the extensive back catalogue of anthems that have captured a legion of fans for over three decades.

Known for their raucous live shows, Rage Against The Machine has been wowing audiences around the world with their hard-hitting music and politically charged lyrics. With hits like ‘Killing in the Name,’ ‘Bulls on Parade’ and ‘Sleep Now in the Fire’ the band has become one of the most influential and respected names in rock music.

Strongly influenced throughout his career by the legendary group, thanks to the depth of their writing and sense of rebellion, lead singer Donal Gibbons is a lifelong fan.

“It was always a dream to put together a show paying tribute to the explosive music that so inspired all of us,” he says.

“Their music is such a dynamic combination of lyrics and meaning. They have always been a band who are not in it for success. There is so much more to them. They have inspired us all and it’s going to be loud, rocking, and powerful, covering all of the Rage Against The Machines back catalogue.”

Their love for the original material is evident in the ferocity of their live show and the attention to detail in every note.

Don’t miss your chance to re-live the atmosphere of a Rage Against The Machine concert with Rage at Monroe’s Live on Friday, March 3 from 11pm.
