We will be rolling in the aisles at Monroe’s Live this March as top comedians, Michael Fry and Killian Sundermann take their sold-out Fringe show to the Dominick Street venue.
Bursting onto the scene thanks to their quick wit and unique social commentary, the internet stars have made the successful move to stand-up, thanks to online sketches that resonated with a large audience.
From regular ‘Irish hedge’ reviews to his hilarious take on the mundane, Killian Sundermann rose to fame during lockdown. The Dublin based former teacher and video editor has a natural energy, creating a solid fan base, thanks to his clever short sketches that have captured the hearts of many.
Now a full-time comedian, his Irish German heritage has given him the scope to view our daily interactions with fresh eyes. Sundermann is not afraid to step out of his comfort zone and into the arena of stand-up. Moving out of the realm of viral videos and onto the live stage will give fans the opportunity to see him in action from beyond the screen.
Together with Navan born Michael Fry, the duo will delve into satirical sketches and musical renditions that are bound to bring laughter to Monroe’s Live. Thanks to his experience as a comedian, actor and content creator, Michael Fry has appeared on podcasts, radio and television in both Ireland and the UK.
His appearance on Derry Girls confirmed his comedy credentials following a successful online career. The social media sensation is moving closer towards his goals whilst maintaining the same sense of musical parody that rocketed him to fame in 2018. Beginning with satirical sketches about radio presenters and comedic songs, he has since gone on to develop his own series for BBC sounds.
There has been overwhelming demand for ‘A Night With Michael Fry and Killian Sundermann’ at Monroe’s Live, taking place on Thursday, March 9, from 8pm with few tickets remaining. For more log on to www.monroes.ie
