The Ultimate Police relive their musical legacy at Monroe’s Live

From Message in a Bottle to So Lonely, Every Little Thing She Does is Magic to Don't Stand So Close To Me, the musical legacy of The Police is timeless. As new generations rediscover the magic of the original trio, Monroe’s Live are hosting The Ultimate Police – a tribute band who will take you through the classics - with a vibrant and exciting performance of their back to back hits on Friday, January 27.

Their assured recreation of the reggae infused rock anthems that captured a legion of fans worldwide is set to ignite the stage on Dominick Street. As a tribute band, The Ultimate Police have dedicated their craft to the soulful renditions of the work of Sting, Andy Summers and Stewart Copeland.

Together, their new wave pop sound stormed the charts for decades, as they embraced the post-punk era with strong reggae rhythms, bringing lyrically charged song writing to the fore. Now, The Ultimate Police bring their love for the band and their deep musicianship to the west of Ireland.

The band features bassist and vocalist Joe Leach, formerly of Bipolar Empire and the Bootleg Beach Boys, session drummer Graham Carey of the Jack L Band and Clive Barnes, who has toured and recorded with Joe Cocker, Taj Mahal and Eric Bibb among many more, as guitarist.

Tickets to The Ultimate Police on Friday January 27 cost €12 and are available from www.monroes.ie Doors open at 11pm.
