A Dublin man, charged in connection with an armed raid on a businman’s home in Lackagh last February, now faces seven further charges.
Thomas Freeman (53 ) with an address at 29 Deansrath Grove, Clondalkin, was brought before Judge Mary Fahy at Galway District Court last Monday where it was heard that seven further charges have been proferred against him.
Freeman had first appeard in court on February 18 last along with his co-accused Gregory Kelly (24 ) of 63 Sandyhill Gardens, Ballymun, Dublin. Both were charged with two counts of false imprisonment of Julien and Emma Flynn at their home in Lackagh, Turloughmore, Galway, on February 15. They were also charged with robbery of cash amounting to €3,200 on the same date.
This week, an application by Inspector Sean Glynn to have the defendant further remanded in custody by consent to appear at Harristown District Court tomorrow [Friday] for service of the book of evidence or to extend time for service.
