The prestigious Georgina Campbell Award for Best Business Hotel in Ireland has been awarded to Galway’s popular Nox Hotel, located just off the Headford Road.
The judges were very impressed with the Galway hotel writing that “every city needs a go-to hotel that’s equally handy for local meetings and residential business guests, that serves good food – and if there’s a bit of fun to be had off duty so much the better.
“For Galway, Nox Hotel fits the bill very nicely, with quirkily decorated public areas, this youthful boutique hotel is a lively spot and has filled a niche, becoming a popular place for a casual bite to eat or a drink in the stylish open-plan bar, where craft beers and cocktails are the thing.
“Guest rooms are quieter in tone and spacious (all have king or super king beds ) and, while there is an emphasis on leisure travel, including families at weekends, business travellers will find a good work station with a data port as well as high speed Wi-Fi and free parking.
“It is conveniently located off Headford Road (Kirwan Roundabout, N6/N84 ) too, so easy to avoid the main city traffic.”
The owners, managers and all the team at Nox Hotel are thrilled to have won this award.
Owned and operated by the Burkeway Group, substantial investment has been made to the Nox Hotel with a recent refurbishment of the lobby, bar and restaurant areas. Work has also commenced on the next phase of bedroom refurbishment.
Burkeway’s Diane Burke said that the teamcontinuously strive to bring the best of service, product, and hospitality to their guests.
“We have gained an excellent reputation as a business and leisure hotel, both from corporate overnight guests and our local businesspeople, who love Nox for our great food, our welcome and professional service.
“We are the ideally located on the gateway into Galway city, and with our ample free parking it makes us an ideal location for our guests. We are thrilled to bring this award to Galway City,” she said.
