With secondary schools closed, and the primary school year coming to an end, more than 50 Galway students will travel to Connemara for the first Gaeltacht Day Course with GaelNua.
The new initiative by the Galway based company, GaelNua, sees Galway students making the most of their proximity to the Gaeltacht by joining other late primary and secondary school children from all over the country for classes, activities, language games, sports and watersports all as Gaeilge.
The day course means that Galway students can avail of a place at a Gaeltacht course for less than half the normal cost.
The courses run for three weeks, with buses running from Eyre Square to Coláiste Aodáin, An Cheathrú Rua, at 9am every morning, to return at 6pm. Places are still available for the July/August course but parents are advised to book as soon as possible by calling 091 - 869740, 087 - 6592405, or 0861738044.
