Glan Agua, Ireland’s leading provider of water and wastewater solutions, has announced a new graduate development programme designed and tailored to give practical experience, technical learning and professional development to graduates who are interested in pursuing a career in the water services sector.

The new Graduate Programme is part of an ambitious drive to recruit the next generation of engineering, quantity surveying, health and safety, construction and project management graduates to support the delivery of Glan Agua’s growing pipeline of water and wastewater treatment projects across Ireland and the UK.

Karl Zimmerer, Managing Director, Glan Agua said they are very proud to launch our Graduate Development Programme to support the next generation of leaders in the water sector.

“We have developed a programme that combines formal training and mentoring support but most importantly, practical on-the-job experience in departments right across the business. The graduates who join Glan Agua will play a very important role in creating a more sustainable environment and providing solutions that will positively impact our water and wastewater infrastructure today and for the future,” he said.

Graduates will be placed in a structured and rotational programme that will include at least four modules across various business units including Design, Tendering, Construction, Operations, Health and Safety and Quantity Surveying as well as mentoring support and professional development.

The programme is tailored to offer each graduate an opportunity to gain hands-on experience by working alongside industry experts on some of the largest water infrastructure projects in Ireland and the UK.

Karl Zimmerer added “Nurturing the next generation of talent has always been a key part of our culture. Many of our current employees started as graduates and even members of our Senior Leadership team started at graduate level in the company. The new programme has been designed following input from the wider team and we’re confident it will provide the best start for aspiring young engineers.”

The graduate programme is now open for 2023 graduates and the company is inviting applications from final-year students until January 31 2023. The graduate programme will commence in June 2023 in several locations across Ireland and UK.
