One of Galway’s newest and most prestigious healthcare enterprises, designed by Irish Time Design, has been nominated for two Fit Out Awards 2022. Irish Time Design’s project for Galway Plastic Surgery and Med Aesthetics has been named as a finalist for both Fit Out Project of the Year - Healthcare and Fit Out Client of the Year.
Construction work on the Galway-based clinic, located at Mulvoy Park, Sean Mulvoy Road, was completed earlier this year when the dual businesses opened the doors in January 2022.
The brief for Galway Plastic Surgery & Med Aesthetics was to convert a long-term vacant retail unit into a state-of-the-art healthcare clinic, integrating two independent practices and separate business entities within a single premises.
Effective spatial planning was critical to optimise the available space and maximise the benefits for each business. Integration and connectivity were key to allow for efficient circulation of personnel and optimal productivity.
The result is a marriage of two allied healthcare clinics which fit seamlessly together and boast interiors that echo comfort, relaxation and professionalism.

Irish Time Design previously won the coveted Fit Out Award for Interior Design and is delighted to be shortlisted again for this year’s awards. Established in 1989, the indigenous Galway company has enjoyed over 33 years at the forefront of innovative commercial interior design. The company has recently completed a range of high-tech interior design and architecture projects including OxyGeneration on Merchants Road; Galway Technology Centre, Mervue; Eyre Square Dental on Galway’s Eyre Square; Renmore Dental, Dublin Road, Renmore; Cuddy Dental on Bridge Street, and River Forest Dental in Leixlip, Dublin.
Irish Time Design has also delivered many successful projects for the hospitality sector including refurbishments and new builds locally for NOX Hotel, Headford Road; LANA, Mary Street and Salthill; Jalan Jalan, Newcastle Road and Umbrella, Middle Street, Galway; as well as multiple projects nationally.
Following a lengthy hiatus due to the Covid Pandemic, the commercial fit-out sector has returned with renewed determination, and a variety of impressive projects, including Galway Plastic Surgery and Med Aesthetics, have made a very competitive shortlist. The winners will be announced at a gala event to be held in the Clayton Hotel Burlington Road, Dublin, on 23rd November 2022.
