The Kumon maths and English programmes are designed to develop the student as a self-learner. A free assessment finds the ‘just right’ start point for each student in the programmes, which stretch from pre-school to university entry level.
Having established the correct start point, students then progress through the subject(s ) of their choice at the pace with which they are comfortable. Daily study (20 minutes maximum for primary school work ) of an individualised programme of the graduated worksheets is supported by a weekly class. The development of students as self-learners enables many committed Kumon students go on to work far beyond their age with impressive confidence and maturity.
