Róisín Dubh keeps the laughs coming

Róisín Dubh's weekly comedy club Tigh He-He continues every Thursday upstairs in Róisín Dubh, and tonight it is the turn of Conor Keys (Thursday 8pm ).

The popular Tyrone comedian and one half of the popular “Deckchair And Yumz” podcast (alongside fellow comedian Micky Bartlett ), has been doing stand-up comedy for more than 10 years.

Resident MC of the award-winning Dalys Comedy Club in Omagh, Keys has hosted many big name acts, including Ardal O'Hanlon, Tom Stade, Daniel Sloss, Aisling Bea, Neil Delamere, Tony Law and Kevin McAleer, who describes Keys as "very personal" with an "individual style" who "can go all the way with that".

Keys has recently been one of the support acts on Shane Todd’s sold-out “Grand” Tour as well as main support for Colin Murphy’s “Colinization” tour. He has also been main warm-up act for Andrew Maxwell, Reginald D Hunter and Tom Stade on NI tour dates.

Having performed on the award nominated BBC's Live at the Sunflower, Keys continues to play in local venues such as the Waterfront Hall, Ulster Hall, Laverys, The Empire, Mandela Hall, and further afield performing at The Stand, Jongleurs and Hot Water Comedy Club.

A talented playwright and actor having written, directed and starred in three sold-out runs of his "Mum Says" comedy stage series, he has performed the plays to thousands of people, receiving standing ovations and rave reviews on each occasion.

“Equal parts chipper, funny, dirty, and charming” , says Chordblossom.

And there will be more laughs from supporting comedians Bob Hennigan - often described as “Mayo’s most charming ball of misery”, and a veteran of the Galway comedy scene; Rob Nother, a talented young Dublin-based comic who began stand-up in 2021 and a finalist in the SMFT, and, host Johnny Candon, one of Ireland’s most sought after comedians who delighted audiences as far afield as Melbourne, Sydney, Adelaide, Hong Kong, Bangkok, Singapore, The Middle East and throughout Europe. Johnny has toured with Ricky Gervais, John Oliver and Andy Zaltzman.
