Matt Keane launches new album

MATT KEANE has released his second album Pictures In Time, recorded with his daughter Orlaith. They will launch it with a concert in the Claregalway Hotel this Sunday at 7.30pm.

The new album has a country feel with a generous mix of ballads; new songs such as ‘Somebody Special’ written by Bohermore’s Don Stiffe; ‘The Lovely Sweet Woodlands of Ower’ by John Henihan; ‘The Claddagh Walk’ by Meg Davis’ and covers of John Prine’s ‘Hello In There’ and ‘Souvenirs’.

This release sees Orlaith having a major input, singing almost half the tracks, such as ‘Candlelight and Wine’, ‘I Wish It Would Rain’, ‘The Lucky One’, and the Eric Bogle song ‘Leaving The Land’.

The album was recorded by Peter Gannon, Pat Coyne, Sean Regan, at Sun Street Studios, Tuam.

Tickets are €25 and are available from the Claregalway Hotel and Reapy’s Bar, Tuam.
