Former Progressive Democrat candidate Gary Creaven has urged all his supporters to give Fine Gael Galway City East candidate Frank Fahy their number one vote.
Mr Creaven, who was the last candidate to be eliminated in both of the last two local elections says Mr Fahy is the candidate who most represents the same views and ideas for Galway as he does.
“I am not in a position to stand this time, but am certain that Frank would make an excellent new councillor representing all the people of Galway and would be very capable of making his presence felt in the chamber,” he said.
Mr Creaven said Mr Fahy is a “strong individual” who is “not afraid to speak his mind” and “will be heard if elected" he continued. Mr Creaven asked voters who had already committed their number one vote to give Mr Fahy their highest next preference, as transfers are vital in ensuring election.
