The new offerings to diners have gone down a treat since launching on Wednesday May 25, with feedback like: “My shopping trip was made even better, with a detour to the Skeff, friendly staff, fab food, and at great value,” according to one Galwegian. Another said: “We came in after the Roscommon and Galway game. I had the chicken burger, and my dad had the fish and chips, he’s very fussy, but said it was the best he’d had in Galway in a long time, we will definitely be back.”

The new Skeff Bar menu also provides an array of more substantial and hearty meals, in the form of the ‘larger bites’ selection, from succulent home cooked burgers, to black pudding stuffed chicken wrapped in bacon, braised pork belly, white wine garlic mussels, and so much more. However the team have not forgotten their old favourites, many of the Skeff staples, such as its iconic traditional fish and chips wrapped in its nostalgic old-style newspaper, its succulent 10oz striploin steak, and its homely roast of the day, have all been reinvigorated for those longing for joyful comfort food that exceeds all expectations.
