Devlin's U17s register emphatic win

Galway United and Galway WFC underage teams are in action at the weekend

Andrew Horan struck four goals as Galway United U17s cruised to a convincing 7-0 win over Cavan-Monaghan.

Martin Devlin's side produced a splendid display with Jack Weesjes, talented Republic of Ireland U15 international Kyle Fitzgerald, and Michael McSweeney also netting.

On Saturday United U17s are away to Sligo Rovers in another important fixture.

Despite a Gradia Lomboto goal, Galway United U19s suffered a disappointing 2-1 loss to Wexford FC at Maree.

Brendan O'Connor's charges are away to UCD next this Sunday.

Anthony O'Neill's United U15s also face a critical encounter in the capital against St Patrick's Athletic.

Galway WFC U19s defeated Carlow-Kilkenny with Abbie Callanan providing the only goal of the game. A home clash to Bohemians is scheduled for Galway WFC U19s on Sunday.

At U17 level on Saturday Galway WFC are at home to Wexford Youths.
