Galway United and Galway WFC teams are in action

Following a first defeat of the season, Galway United U17s will be eager to respond away to Cavan-Monaghan on Saturday afternoon.

Despite two Andrew Horan goals, Martin Devlin’s team were beaten 4-2 by Dundalk so United will be primed for a crucial match.

Brendan O’Connor’s U19s were defeated 4-0 by an impressive St Patrick’s Athletic outfit at Richmond Park on Sunday. United U19s host Wexford FC this weekend in an important fixture.

The in form Corey Lavery McCay and Eoin Hannon scored for Anthony O’Neill’s U15s, who registered a vital victory over Bohemians. That result still ensures United have a chance of reaching the elite phase of the competition.

Rebecca Shinnors netted a goal in Galway WFC U17s 1-1 draw away to Wexford.

At U19 level Galway WFC are away to Carlow-Kilkenny on Sunday.
