Ashford Castle launches exclusive dining and entertainment experiences in Quiet Man house

Ashford Castle, Ireland’s premier five star hotel, has just launched a series of exclusive experiences at Squire Danagher’s, the original house featured in the ‘The Quiet Man,’ starring Maureen O’Hara and John Wayne, filmed in the 1950s.

The house, which has recently been lovingly restored back to its 1951 self, offers guests a unique opportunity to take a step back in time to a different era, to a time when Hollywood discovered Ashford and Cong for the first time. Guests will enjoy private use of the authentic house, the residence of Squire Will Danagher and his sister Mary Kate in the movie, as well as choosing from traditional dishes and entertainment including acting performances, Irish dancing or Gaelic storytellers.

Movie buffs and history fans will truly enjoy this immersive experience but it’s also perfect for couples, families, groups of friends, a corporate event or any special occasion with a number of different experiences on offer for small and large groups.
