Matt Keane to play The Claregalway Hotel

The Keane family to be joined by The Hernons of Connemara, and a variety of special guests

AFTER AN absence of two years, the Matt Keane & family concert returns to the Claregalway Hotel on Friday March 25.

The Keane family is from Caherlistrane and is steeped in the folk music of the west of Ireland. Matt and Sean will be joined on-stage by Orlaith and Laura Kean, as well as by musicians Maria Fahy, Colm Naughton, Pat Coyne, Catherine McHugh, PJ Murrihy, and Mick Mulhern. The MC will be Michael Commins of Mid West FM and The Farmers Journal.

Also performing will be the Hernon Family - Marcus on flute, joined by his sons, Prionsias and Labhras - from Carna, Connemara, and are well known for their rich, vibrant music and sean-nós dancing.

The concert will also see performances from singer-songwriter PJ Murrihy and Mick Mulherne from Mayo.
