Cody to visit Galway for charity fundraiser

Legendary manager Brian Cody is coming to Galway just months after another Kilkenny legend arrived here to take over the senior hurlers.

One of the GAA’s greatest managers - in charge of his county for a record 24th year will be in Oranmore on March 7 for a very special event with all proceeds going to four wonderful charities.

‘An evening with Brian Cody and guests’ sponsored by Zimmer Biomet in association with Paul Byrnes Media will take place in the newly renovated community centre with a very special show planned for the big night.

“It’s just brilliant to have such an iconic sporting great coming to our town. There is huge excitement already about the event with just a small number of tickets left for sale on Eventbrite and in the local Centra,” said Adrian Furey, VP, Global Supply Chain & Logistics, Zimmer Biomet.

The event will be presented by RTE Sport senior anchor and commentator Darragh Maloney and will include a feature length interview on stage with the 11-time All-Ireland SHC winner about the highs and lows of management, getting to the top, the fierce battles along the way and so much more. The night will also include a number of other special guests on stage throughout the evening.

Adrian Furey said: “All proceeds from the event are going to four great charities in Galway Hospice, Bumbleance, Milford Care Centre and Oranmore Heritage who do so much for so many every day.”

There are a few tickets still remaining and on sale now at www.eventbrite.ie/e/an-evening-with-brian-cody-guests-tickets-261485780007 or in Kearney’s Centra, Oranmore.
