The Comedy KARLnival is back - on a Sunday

Award winning Canadian comic Phil Nichol to headline at the Róisín Dubh

LIVE COMEDY is back in Galway, as is the Róisín Dubh’s Comedy KARLnival, and there is also the hugely welcome return of acclaimed Canadian comic, Phil Nichol.

Winner of the If.comedy award (formerly the Perrier ) at the 2006 Edinburgh Fringe Festival, and a former member of cult Canadian comedy trio Corky and the Juice Pigs, Phil Nichol plays the Comedy KARLnival, this Sunday, February 13, at 8pm.

Phil is an energetic performer with an unquenchable thirst to break boundaries in his work. His skill as an improviser, whether it be musical, comedy or straight, is unparalleled. His comedy has a surreal edge, and there is always a keen sense of fun, and eye for the shocking and absurd. No wonder The Scotsman said a Phil Nichol show is, “like spending an hour in a comedy jacuzzi”.

Also on the bill is Paul Marsh, who brought his first one man show to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival 2019 for a sell-out run. He returns to the stage with a show about parenthood, getting old, marriage and one liners - loads of one liners. He is also the winner of Ireland's Funniest Joke, The Capital Comedy Club Competition, and The Golden Toilet Duck Award.

The host and MC is the great Karl Spain. Tickets are €12 from www.roisindubh.net
