An open, online meeting, of the socialist feminist organisation, ROSA, takes place this Thursday at 7.30pm, focussing on sexism, oppression, and misogyny.
ROSA is calling on people to join the meeting, and is looking to build “a strong social movement” to overcome the “systemic nature of these problems”.
A spokesperson for the group said the recent murder of Aishling Murphy has again highlighted the “deep seeded social pandemic of misogynistic voilence against women”.
“There is a big problem with male violence against women that is rooted in the social and cultural conditions of a capitalist, class based, society,” they said. “Thursday's meeting will delve into these questions and discuss the need to build mass social movements that can challenge and change the roots of this crisis.”
