The Galway County Council is inviting applications for funding from community groups and facilities within the Galway county administrative area, under the Community Activities Fund.
The Fund will support groups, particularly in disadvantaged areas, with non-pay operating/running costs such as utility bills, insurance, etc, and/or a grant towards projects or equipment enhancing facilities.
“The efforts of community groups and volunteers throughout the pandemic has been immense, they were vital to maintaining community spirit and resilience during these difficult times,” said a county council spokesperson. “This funding is about giving a helping hand to these smaller groups and facilities at a grassroots level by supporting them to continue their important work on the ground.”
