Appeal for information on Cregmore burglaries
Gardaí are appealing for information following a series of burglaries which took place in Turloughmore/Cregmore area before Christmas. Four properties were broken into in Kiltrogue/Cregmore areas on Monday evening December 20 between 4pm and 7pm.
During these break-ins a number of items of jewellery and a number of electronic items were taken from the properties. Anyone who may have seen any person acting suspiciously in the Turloughmore/Cregmore area on Monday evening December 20 or anyone with any information in relation to the burglaries or the stolen items is urged to contact Gardaí at Loughgeorge Garda Station on 091-798122 or Oranmore Garda Station on 091-388030.
On Thursday January 6, two neighbouring properties at Clarke Street, Athenry were broken into. In the first incident the property was broken into between 7.45am and 11am and damage was caused to the rear and the interior of the property. In the second incident at approximately 11am an attempt was made to break into another property at Clarke Street.
Two males were observed running from the property after the alarm was activated. They were observed getting into a dark coloured saloon car which drove off at speed in the direction of the M6 motorway. Gardaí in Athenry are asking anyone who saw anything suspicious in the area or anyone who may have seen the males or the vehicle described to contact them at Athenry Garda Station on 091 844016.
On Thursday January 6 at Tonroe, Clairnbridge, two properties were broken into. In both burglaries damage was caused to the properties. A number of items of jewellery were taken from one of the properties during the course of the burglary. A dark coloured saloon car was observed in the Tonroe area around the time of the break-ins.
A short time after the break-ins this vehicle was observed travelling at high speed in the direction of Gort. Gardaí are asking anyone with information in the Clarinbridge area in relation to these burglaries is asked to contact Oranmore Garda Station on 091 388030 or Galway Garda Station on 091-538000.
Crimninal damage caused to John Paul Centre
Gardaí in Galway are appealing for witnesses after vandals sprayed graffiti on the exterior walls of the John Paul Centre, Ballybane in the area close to the main entrance to the centre off the Castlepark Road.
The incident took place between 2pm and 4pm on Christmas Day, December 25. Gardaí are very anxious to speak with anyone who may have been in the Castlepark Road area between 2pm and 4pm on Christmas Day and may have witnessed this damage being caused or anyone who may have any information in relation to the incident to contact Galway Garda Station on 091-538000.
Witnesses to Salthill hit and run sought by Gardai
Gardaí in Salthill are appealing for witnesses in relation to a hit-and-run road
traffic collision where a black Toyota Avensis was struck from behind by another vehicle at the junction of Bothar Lé Cheile and the Seamus Quirke Road, Newcastle at approximately 2.45pm on Sunday December 19, 2021.
The vehicle involved a silver Mitsubishi Shogun possibly with UK registration plates failed to remain at the scene. Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have any information in relation to this incident to contact them.
Gardaí are particularly appealing to any road users who may have been in the Westside area between 2.30pm and 3pm on Sunday December 19 and may have dash-cam footage of the collision or the offending vehicle to make contact.
