Gardaí in Salthill are appealing for witnesses in relation to a hit-and-run road traffic collision at the junction of Bothar Lé Cheile and the Seamus Quirke Road, Newcastle.
On Sunday December 19, 2021 at approximately 2.45pm, a black Toyota Avensis was struck from behind by another vehicle. The vehicle, a silver Mitsubishi Shogun possibly with UK registration plates, failed to remain at the scene.
Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have any information in relation to this incident to contact Salthill Garda Station on 091 - 514720 or the Garda Confidential Line 1800 666 111.them. They are particularly appealing to any road users who may have been in the Westside area between 2.30pm and 3pm on Sunday December 19 and may have dash-cam footage of the collision or the offending vehicle to make contact.
