Fianna Fáil Councillor Alan Cheevers say it is all time low when someone would burn a children’s swing at the playground at Struthan Mhuirlinn in Ballybane.
Cllr Cheevers said that this type of vandalism is totally unacceptable.
“The worrying thing is we have seen an escalation of the type of vandalism in last few months across the city in both Millars lane and Merlin Woods where Portaloos and other equipment were burned.
“I think both the Council and the Garda must work together to see how this going to be stamped out, it can’t continue. I’m seriously concerned that we will see someone injured,” he said.
