THEATRE57 is seeking applications for residencies at its pilot artist-led theatre hub in the Nuns’ Island Theatre between January and March 2022.
Theatre57 is a community of more than 100 Galway-based independent theatre artists, advocating for investment in sustainability and infrastructure to support independent theatre in Galway.
It has received funding through the Arts Council Theatre Resource and Development Scheme to pilot, with the Galway Arts Centre, an artist-led theatre hub at the Nun's Island Theatre from January to March 2022, including free rehearsal space and co-working office space for members of Theatre57.
There will also be three funded residencies for theatre artists based in the city or county regardless of whether they are T57 members or not.
Applications are now open for the residencies. Applications may be written, via video, audio, or handwritten. The deadline for applications is midnight on Sunday November 28. For more information email [email protected].
