The historic walls of Claregalway Castle will be the backdrop for a free Galway Music Residency lunchtime concert by the Contempo String Quartet on Tuesday next, November 23.
The quartet will perform works by Haydn and others at an event which is open to the public and offers a unique opportunity to hear beautiful music in a safe and beautiful surrounding.
The concert will also see the launch of Away With The Fairies, the wonderful new book by Galway historian and author William Henry.
This book is a collection of amazing stories from Connacht's supernatural traditions, retold through countless generations.
The book will be launched by recently-retired Tuam Herald editor, David Burke.
