Successful land auctions in Connemara

DNG Martin O’Connor land sales completed two very successful Connemara land auctions on its online auction platform on October 21.

A shareholding of commonage of c55.47 acres in Knockadav, Rosmuck, with a guide price of €45,000 received exceptional interest from multiple bidders. The property achieved a sale price of €59,000, a record price for commonage land in the Connemara region.

The second property was a plot of land of c2.18 acres in Cornamona village. This attracted great attention over the weeks leading up to the auction day. The property sold in excess of its guide price at €17,000 on the day.

DNG Martin O’Connor’s next online auction will take place of December 2 with two properties on the market. The first auction property is a roadside plot of land extending to c0.72 acre in Clydagh, Moycullen. The plot is suitable for many uses, for those living in urban areas looking for recreational ground for use as a hobby garden, to plant trees, and possibly the placement of a workshop.

The second property is a plot of land extending to c1.63 acres along the Owenglin River in Clifden. The land may be suitable to local farmers looking for a place to keep their livestock and ponies as it is close Clifden Livestock Mart, or it would make an excellent business opportunity for stabling/short term livery prior to and after sales for those travelling long distances to Connemara Pony Sales.
