Cleanroom, packaging, and environmental awareness course at GRETB Training Centre

GRETB Training Centre is offering a cleanroom, packaging, and environmental awareness course which gives job seekers an opportunity to gain a Level 5 qualification, work experience, and ultimately employment in the cutting-edge sector of medical device technology and general manufacturing areas.

The cleanroom, packaging, and environmental awareness course commencing on the November 8 will provide participants with an insight into the controlled environment, while also affording them with the competencies required to successfully contribute to the wider manufacturing Industry.

This course is 21 weeks in duration, and comprises theoretical and practical workshops; six of these weeks are dedicated to work experience in a medical device/general manufacturing setting. There are six modules in total and upon successful completion of the course participants will be awarded with a QQI Level 5 award. Learners will be required to allocate approximately 30 hours to this course each week, and engage in both online classes and in centre training. The on site delivery takes place in the dedicated cleanroom training facility designed to replicate industrial standards.

Learners will be given access to the online learning platform Moodle. This platform will house all learning materials, including theoretical lessons and video lessons. The flexibility of this course allows you to study at home and attend workshops in the GRETB Training Centre on allocated days.

All elements of the course will adhere to all Government and HSE guidelines and restrictions on Covid-19. Courses run subject to demand and dates are subject to change.

Requirements for gaining access to the course are Leaving Certificate or equivalent; an excellent level of understanding of the English language, both written and spoken; laptop/PC with a good internet connection; good IT skills, with particular focus on Word and Excel; flexibility to attend both online and in centre training; and the ability to attend work experience on a shift allocated to you by the host company.
