NUI Galway’s Coldvember Crew planning to make this the best Coldvember yet

Coldvember NUIG is a student-driven fundraising initiative that aims to raise funds for mental health charities. In the past they have helped raise thousands for fantastic organisations such as Helplink and Movember by inviting everyone in Galway to join them for a dip in the sea every day of November starting on Monday November 1.

This is their fourth year running and they are delighted to be fundraising in aid of the Galway Rape Crisis Centre. The Galway Rape Crisis Centre’s mission is to provide a professional, caring and confidential counselling and support service for those in our community affected by sexual abuse and sexual violence.

They are eager to get local businesses involved in raising awareness and funds for an amazing charity. If you have a business and would like to get involved, don’t hesitate to drop them a DM to their Instagram @coldvember_nuig .”

“We’re really looking forward to this year’s Coldvember. It’s been a tough few months for many of us so we can’t wait to spread good vibes and positivity while fundraising for a fantastic cause,” said John Flannery, Coldvember Crew Member 2021

Cathy Connolly Executive Director of GRCC expressed her thanks to everyone taking part in COLDVEMBER for GRCC.

“It’s great to see so many NUIG students coming together to raise awareness of our work. We are very grateful to you for choosing GRCC and I hope to join you on November 1 for the big splash,” she said.
