Cycling 'unfairly dominating the agenda' says Crowe

"We have housing issues on the agenda, but we are hearing about bikes, punctures, flats, and cycle lanes"

Cycling is 'unfairly dominating the agenda', Fianna Fáil councillor Mike Crowe claimed at Monday's meeting of the Galway City Council.

Once again the proposed Salthill cycleway was debated at length by councillors with Cllr Crowe highlighting the need to discuss other issues.

"This is the fifth meeting in a row where cycling has dominated the agenda," hec said. "I'd like to congratulate the cycling fraternity for that. This is unfairly dominating the agenda, we have housing issues on the agenda, but we are hearing about bikes, punctures, flats, and cycle lanes. It is time to move on."
