Martin Devlin's team hope to reach the Mark Farren Cup decider

Martin Devlin's Galway United U17s face Shelbourne at the AUL Complex in a Mark Farren Cup semi-final on Saturday (2.30pm ).

With David Tarmey in impressive attacking form and Mark O'Halloran and Steven Healy continuing to impress, United will be hoping to advance to a national decider.

A talented Shels outfit, managed by former Republic of Ireland international Damien Duff, features a string of extremely promising players so a demanding challenge awaits in the capital.

Galway WFC, though, were still able to bring a strong squad with Hannah Walsh, Kate Slevin, Saoirse Healey, Abbie Callanan, Aoibhinn Donnelly, Nicole McNamara, and Aoibheann Costello featuring in the WNL this year.

Emma O'Donoghue, Donnelly, and Callanan (2 ), scored for Galway, who will be eager to claim silverware at this level.

The Galway WFC U17s suffered a disappointing home loss to Donegal in the league and face another tough test away to Peamount United on Saturday.
