The Streets of Galway 8km race will take place on Sunday October 24 at 10.30am.
In 2020 for the first time in 34 years, the event did not take place in August due to the Covid 19 pandemic.
David Glynn, one of the Streets of Galway organisers, is delighted that the race returns this month. “Run it for the first time or run it for the 35th time like Patrick Larkin, Ger Meehan and Gerard Murphy who have not missed a year,” he says. “They are back again and we hope you will be too.
“Savour this race like nothing ever before, as it is a pleasure to be able to run through the city streets that are once again full of life, passing all the familiar landmarks such as the Green Dome of the Cathedral and the swans at the Claddagh as you go over Wolfe Tone Bridge.”
