Junior Brother - new single, Róisín Dubh gig

New single will be on vinyl in October, Galway gig will be in December

“THE BLADES of razors split the sky long after this poem was put onto a page a few years ago. The recording of the song happened just before all our worlds closed down.”

So says County Kerry alternative folk singer, Junior Brother, about his latest single, ‘Life’s New Haircut’ which is out now via the Strange Brew label. It is set to be released on limited edition coloured 7" vinyl on October 18.

“The song found its true meaning shortly thereafter with the new shape the world span in accentuating its sentiments,” says JB of the song’s arrival into a world still dealing with the Covid-19 pandemic, even as society begins to reopen. “Although allegorical, I believe this song speaks for itself. Aren't you glad we're not alone?”

Along with the new song, the Kerryman has also announced a new Irish tour, including a gig at the Róisín Dubh, Dominick Street, on Thursday December 30 at 8pm.

The upcoming vinyl release, which also includes the b-side 'Moon Acre', is available to pre-order via Bandcamp.
