HAILED AS “Ireland’s greatest voices”, The Three Tenors make a welcome return to Galway to play a socially distanced concert at Galway Cathedral.
The Three Tenors - Kenneth O’Regan, Paul Feery, and Kevin Fagan - will play on Friday August 27 at 8.30pm, performing such songs as ‘Nessun Dorma’, ‘Caledonia’, ‘Bridge Over Troubled Water’, and ‘Green Fields of France’, as well as songs from The Dublioners and Andrea Bocelli.
The Three Tenors are noted for their friendliness and connection with their audience. They have been the only Irish trio to perform annually for the past five years at the National Concert Hall, Dublin, Cork Opera House, and Belfast Lyric Theatre. In 2012, they performed for the 50th International Eucharistic Congress in the RDS and in Croke Park and were selected by the Government to headline 1916 Centenary State Reception in Dublin Castle.
The Sunday Independent called them “fabulous...the entire audience was moved by their soulful performance”, while The New York Times said they were “the most delicious box of chocolates your ears could ever have”.
Doors open at 8pm. Tickets are available from OMG@Zhivago, Shop Street, and via Eventbrite.ie Due to Covid restrictions, tickets are sold in pairs and only a very limited number are available. Early booking is advised. The concert is supported by The Department of Tourism, Culture, and the Arts.
