‘AFTER THE Movie’, the new single from Galway singer-songwriter Partland, is released today, Wednesday August 4, and is accompanied by a wonderful animated video.
'After the Movie' is the third single to be taken from Partlan’s forthcoming second album, The Empty Atlantic. The single is accompanied by a stop-motion music video made by hand by Partland himself, which took 80 hours to complete.
“The song is about when a couple finally get together in a ‘movie ending’ like fashion,” he says, “but once the credits stop rolling, things can go awry and the love can get lost. The song is about the reality of love that movie magic doesn't always accurately depict.”
