Enjoy authentic French cuisine to go at Rouge

Rouge has become a well established and popular restaurant since it opened its doors in Dominick Street 10 years ago. Like many restaurants, it has had to reinvent itself during the pandemic. At Rouge this has meant pivoting to a takeaway model, and with the selection of delicious food on the go proving a hit with customers it now plans to expand its offerings.

Rouge began offering a mouthwatering selection of takeaway options in May, including coffees, iced coffees, a large selection of pastries and sourdough breads made with exclusive French organic flours, croque-monsieur, ham and cheese croissants, quiches, and salads.

The restaurant now plans to expand its takeaway menu to include a selection of French dishes in jar, which are ready to reheat and enjoy at home or at work, along with a larger variety of salads and sandwiches made with Rouge's own sourdough bread. The wine list is also making a welcome return, with a selection of wines imported directly from France, along with épicerie products, also imported from France.

Plans for indoor dining have yet to be finalised, but Rouge hopes to be in a position to reopen to dine-in customers in the coming months, with all necessary protocols in place. The team aim to ensure that when the restaurant reopens, it will remain open.
