THE KENNY Gallery’s first major exhibition since the onset of the Covid pandemic opens tomorrow - A Constant State of Motion by the Irish artist, Luke McMullan.
McMullan’s exhibition will mark the re-opening of the gallery, as well as the artist’s second solo show at this iconic Galway business and institution. The exhibition opens on Friday July 9 and will run until Wednesday August 4.

“Luke’s work is edgy and imaginative,” said gallery manager, Dean Kelly. “This is distinctive, often hallucinatory work by one of our rising stars.”
McMullan was born in 1979 in Kildare. He currently lives and works in Galway. His introduction to art came through graffiti in the 1990s, when he used the pseudonym ‘Stix’. Although he no longer paints on walls, the organic and adaptive nature of graffiti is at the foundation of the art he produces today.

McMullan’s exhibition marks the first in a series of new exhibitions at Kennys: Kenneth and Susan Webb (August 6 to September 8 ), John Behan (October 9 to November 10 ), and Pádraic Reaney (November 12 to December 8 ).
